Apply for a Scholarship
Pi Chi Omega offers six scholarships to support students pursuing urban and industrial pest management or related studies, aiming to develop future professionals in the field. The object is to encourage and assist outstanding students to prepare for careers in pest management.
Deadline:
Scholarship applications for 2026 will be accepted between January 1 and March 16, 2026.

2026 Scholarship Application – click the button below to complete the application form, then you will be prompted to upload the documents listed below. All documents must be uploaded during the initial submission, so we recommend you have all of the elements in hand before beginning your submission.
- Resume or Curriculum Vitae
- Transcript from current school. An unofficial transcript will be accepted.
- One-page essay describing how your studies, research, and/or work experience will contribute to the urban and industrial pest management industry
- Two letters of recommendation that address the applicant’s progress in studies and/or research, work ethic, and contributions to the pest management industry. One letter must be from your faculty advisor and include the advisor recommendation form, and the other must be from a Pi Chi Omega member. A Pi Chi Omega Member List is available from the Executive Director, via e-mail at office@pichiomega.org. We would be happy to help match you with a member for sponsorship.

Eligibility:
- Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student interested in urban or industrial pest management.
- Must be actively working toward a degree.
Basis of Award:
- Demonstrated interest in pest management or a related field with career intent.
- Good academic standing (minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale).
- Consideration of character, personality, school, and professional activities.
- Renewable upon resubmission of a complete application.
Award Provisions:
- Recipients sign and return a letter of agreement before funds are distributed.
- Must submit an article for the Pi Chi Omega Spring Newsletter by Feb. 1 of the following year, describing academic/research activities and the impact of the scholarship.
- Must remain in good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher); transcript due with the article.
Pi Chi Omega is proud to offer six named scholarships that have been funded to be awarded in perpetuity. These scholarships honor major influencers and founding members of our organization whose contributions have left a lasting legacy on the pest management industry. Each named scholarship was established through generous donations, often made to recognize a past member’s extraordinary impact and to preserve their memory through the support of future professionals. - Founder’s Endowment Scholarship $2,500
- Alain VanRyckeghem Memorial Scholarship $2,500
- Dr. Austin Frishman Scholarship $2,500
- Norm Ehmann Scholarship $2,500
- R. Randall Rollins Memorial Scholarship $2,500

A glance at past scholarship recipients reveals industry giants, including our first awardee, Dr. Bobby Corrigan, who credits the scholarship with enabling him to continue his studies. Pi Chi Omega is proud to support students committed to advancing the industry through improved understanding, tools, and practices in structural pest management. To date, Pi Chi Omega has supported 183 students through approximately $285,000 in scholarship funding.
Many recipients have continued their Pi Chi Omega membership after graduation. We have lost track of some of these former students. If you are a previous scholarship recipient and haven’t kept in touch, please contact us to provide us with your current information.
